Christmas Games for 2023!

'Tis the season to unwind and cozy up with games that capture the holiday magic! Whether you're nestled in for wintry Northern nights or seeking a cool escape from Southern summer heat, join me as we explore games that embody the enchantment and warmth of Christmas.

You can also watch this list on YouTube to catch some game trailers!

Lake Season’s Greetings

In a prequel DLC to Lake, It’s Christmas time in Providence Oaks 1985. In Lake, Season’s Greetings you take on the role of Meredith’s dad, Thomas Weiss, and will be treated to a warm reunion with Providence Oaks and its inhabitants. I highly recommend you play Lake before jumping into the DLC as you’ll uncover answers to questions that were teased in Lake, meet new characters and discover how postal work plays a pivotal role in delivering the Christmas spirit in Providence Oaks.

Everybody Wham Wham

In Everybody Wham Wham you compete to build the best snowman for the Annual Wham Wham the Snowman-Man Snowman Building Festival. There are plenty of villagers to become friends or enemies with because you can actually sabotage your competitors as you compete by stealing their supplies for your own snowman! You can uncover hidden secrets about Wham Wham the Snowman-man throughout the festival but perhaps best of all is the Wham Wham Radio Station playing a collection of earworm songs, especially the main Everybody Wham Wham theme that is sure to get stuck in your head.

The Grinch: Christmas Adventures

Struggling to find the spirit in this holiday season, then perhaps you should join The Grinch in trying to stop Christmas in this festive platformer. In The Grinch: Christmas Adventures you’ll have to be sneaky to steal all the presents in Who-Ville but thankfully The Grinch has some wonderfully awful ideas - like a stealthy Santa costume and a Candy Cane Lasso.

With visuals inspired by Dr. Seuss’s illustrations, and the option for two-player gameplay with The Grinch and Max, perhaps your heart will grow three sizes after all.

A Little to the Left

Cozy gamers everywhere eagerly await news of a potential holiday update for everyone's beloved tidying game. For those who haven't experienced the delightful chaos of A Little to the Left, there are already six Christmas-themed puzzles from the 2022 "Good Tidyings" event awaiting your expert tidying skills. The folks at Max Inferno have continued to drop updates and new tidys for us all to enjoy so let's hope they have one more update for us in 2023!

Your Holiday Classics

And lets not forget your cozy favourites also have their own holiday-themed events.

Animal Crossing has themed furniture and outfits to collect before the Toy Day event starting Christmas Eve where a special holiday-themed visitor arrives on your island.

Along with Cozy Grove, Stardew Valley, Ooblets, Disney Dreamlight Valley and more all featuring their own holiday or Christmas events. You definitely won’t be short on the Christmas spirit this holiday season.

That’s it for my Cozy Christmas list for 2023, if you want to catch me playing some of the holiday-themed games make sure to check out my YouTube channel!
